¹ Jeannie Isern has been a member of TYCA since 2008 and served on its REC board as the coeditor of the Pacific View Newsletter. ² Scott Orme teaches cultural theory and Shakespeare ³ Angela Rasmussen is involved with professional development around learning communities and online classes ⁴ Andrea Reid directs SCC’s Hagan Foundation Center for the Humanities ⁵ Tim Roe is currently a member of the TYCA-PNW REC board and has been a member of NCTE since 2007.

Abstract

The Spokane Community College English Department received the 2015 Diana Hacker Award for Fostering Student Success. In this report, the authors describe the features of their award-winning program.
