Editorial: The Politics of Letters: The Continuing Saga
Author(s): David Schaafsma and Ruth VinzHistories of the English profession have revealed that different discourses coexist, occasionally complement, and sometimes conflict with one another. These discourses are ideologically driven, comprised of different sets of practices that have divergent social and cultural consequences. The articles in this issue present investigations of these ideological conflicts that impact the teaching of English and English education.
