Abstract

Learning, one of the most important forms of growth, takes time. For teachers trying to grow their practices, this time is difficult to come by. The author suggests lab visits as a very effective method of professional development that benefits both the classroom teacher and those observing. Lab visits help emphasize teachers’ experience while also allowing for the open sharing of new ideas and strategies.
