Abstract

This paper, which was read at the NCTE convention last November, presents a “three-dimensional” view of the teaching of written communication. Mrs. Cook is a past president of the NCTE, former consultant in secondary curriculum for the Minneapolis Public Schools, and a well-known author of textbooks for high school English.
